President Bill led 14 cars from Stop and Shop to Adams Farm for the annual Lions sponsored Walpole Field Day on Saturday, September 19th. This time we lacked a police escort. (Kenny Scanzio, where are you?) We took up our parking in an ‘L’ formation and set up our chairs inside. There was a lot of interest in our cars this year. That unfortunately translates into a lot of fingerprints from 9 and 10 year old boys. But that comes with the job. We had a good time sitting around eating good food and swapping stories (a lot of Bowling Green stories). The highlight of the day was gathering to sing “Happy Birthday” to Kelsa Morrill (I won’t say what birthday). In the end, Lion/EMCC member Steve Sylvia presented President Bill with a check for $300.

I think those who gave up a Saturday to support our charities deserve a mention so here’s who attended: Bill, Bob Grenier, Jim Gable and Rebecca, Bob G, Phil, Al, Joel, Bob W and Mike W, Arnie and Adam, Doug and Sean, Gene, Jack, Joe, and Bert. Steve also had his C4 there to add to our number.
