The 2006 Soup Party is now history and it was a
rousing success. 36 members and guests gathered at the newly
remodeled
 home
of member Dennis and Carolyn Collins for an evening of good company
and warm, satisfying soups (and chili). By my count there were
at least 16 different soups and chilies available to savor. There
were crock pots as far as the eye could see. Hot, thick, creamy,
spicy, bold; you name it, we had it. That plus breads, salad and
wonderful desserts.
Throughout the evening everyone wandered in and
out of the Collins' beautiful new kitchen and to Dennis' spectacular
and spotless new garage which had everyone green with envy. While
the guys were ga-ga over the new lift, the girls were
taking in the new kitchen cabinets and floor. And the highlight of
the evening was we added a new/old member to our roster.
Many thanks to the Collins for hosting us. It
was a great evening.
