This year’s Vettes to Vets at Bedford, Mass was again washed with rain. Eight EMCC Corvettes left from Walpole Sunday morning, September 27 under murky skies, in the drizzle and rain. Once we arrived at the hotel it was obvious the numbers were down from last year when it rained as well. But spirits were high and flags were waving as we pulled out single file on our way to the Bedford VA Hospital with a police motorcycle escort. Several of our members who were unable to attend had passed on their own patient comfort bags so we had a goodly load to drop off at the big truck. We were then well fed by the USAF. After lunch we watched as the Mass National Guard presented the colors.

Those who gave up a Sunday and braved the weather were Joe O’Connor, Jim and Kay Gable, Al and Sue Szafarczyk, Arne Johnson, John Dwyer and The Beast, Phil Wesalowski, Mark Forsberg and Stacy, Bob Gardner, and President Bill. Mal Smith joined us there.
